Access Statement

Introduction
Gramarye Bed & Breakfast, Whitby is a converted late Victorian \ early Edwardian house built around the turn of the last century.
The main entrance is on Coach Road with direct level access from the road to the front door.
There are two first floor guest rooms with access via a traditional staircase with a mezanine landing and the stairs return to the main first floor landing to the guest bedroom entrances.
There is no wheelchair or lift access to these rooms unfortunately. There is a third ground floor room (the Garden Room) accessed from the main entrance via a first floor hallway via the dining room and through the conservatory, there are no steps or stairs en route apart from the average height door thresholds.
The main entrance door and the internal doors are all standard width.
The Garden Room has an en suite walk in shower with a step over oak threshold circa 15cm \ 6 inches high.
The shower controls are at a reasonably low level, there are no grab \ support rails fitted.
The sink is a marble travertine sink and is at normal height. The WC is a standard height WC, there are no grab\ support rails fitted.
